Notes: The Third Battle of Panipat was fought on January 14, 1761 between the Marathas under Sadashivrao Bhau Peshwa and forces of the Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Durrani. The battle lasted for several days and involved over 125,000 troops. The forces led by Ahmad Shah Durrani came out victorious after destroying several Maratha flanks. It resulted in the worst defeat of Marathas.
