The Sixth Mughal Emperor, Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad Aurangazeb adopted the title of Alamgir (meaning : Conqueror Of The World). He was the third son of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Under him the Mughal Empire reached its greatest extent, although his policies helped lead to its dissolution.
