The Kymi River is a 204 kilometers long river located in Finland which originates at Lake Paijanne and discharges into the Gulf of Finland at the Baltic Sea. The furthest source of the river is Lake Pielavesi. This river is one of the largest rivers in Southern Finland and one of the major sources for Finland's hydroelectricity requirements. This river houses several pulp and paper industries and was widely used for timber rafting earlier.
