Recently, the Geological Survey of India (GSI) discovered new gold reserves in Banswara district, Rajasthan. The find in the Kankariyagarha block of Ghatol tehsil includes 1.20 tonnes of gold along with copper, nickel, and cobalt. This is the third consecutive gold discovery in Banswara, enhancing its potential to become a major gold-mining hub after Karnataka. The area lies in the Aravalli mountain range, rich in 5,000-year-old mineral-bearing rocks.
