Answer: Ahluwalia Misl
Notes: Kapurthala State was created by reorganizing Ahluwalia Misl territories. The misl was led by Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and named after the village Ahlu, north of the Sutlej River. It became prominent among the twelve Sikh misls before being restructured under British rule in 1846.
