Notes: Geography is studied majorly by using two approaches
1. Systematic approach
2. Regional approach
Systematic geography approach was introduced by German Geographer Alexander Von Humboldt where as regional geography approach was introduced by another German geographer Karl Ritter
• Any phenomenon of geography in systematic approach is studied world over as a whole, and then the identification of typologies or spatial patterns is done.
• In the regional approach, the world is divided into regions at different hierarchical levels and then all the geographical phenomena in a particular region are studied
