Notes: As of 29 January 2026, under the SVAMITVA Scheme, 3.06 crore property cards have been prepared across 1.86 lakh villages in India. SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) Scheme was launched on 24 April 2020. It is a Central Sector Scheme under the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The scheme provides legal ownership records to rural property owners via Property Cards. It uses drone surveys and GIS tools for accurate land demarcation, reducing disputes.
