The Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme was launched in Jharkhand on November 15, 2017. It was later rebranded as Mukhyamantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (MASSY). MASSY provides coverage up to ₹15 lakh for secondary and tertiary healthcare through both insurance and trust modes. It benefits over 70 lakh residents and is integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission to issue digital health cards. The scheme is distinct from the central PM-JAY scheme implemented in 2018.
