Notes: Prime Minister of India inaugurated the Sela Tunnel, world's longest bi-lane road tunnel at 13,000 feet altitude in Arunachal Pradesh. Built by BRO under Project Vartak, construction started on April 1, 2019. It consists of two tunnels and 8.6 km of roads, designed for 3,000 cars and 2,000 trucks daily at 80 kmph. It is vital for all-weather connectivity to Tawang, bordering China, reducing travel time by an hour. It enhances swift deployment of military resources near the Line of Actual Control.
