Mallakhamb is a traditional sport, originating in the Indian subcontinent, where a gymnast performs out-of-the-air yoga or gymnastic postures and holds a concert and a wooden or hanging pole, cane or rope. The meaning of the name Mallakhamb is also from the stick used in the game. Pol is usually made of shisham (Indian rosewood) which is polished with castor oil.
