Notes: The Ksheera Bhagya Yojana was launched by Karnataka on August 1, 2013. It provides free milk to children in classes 1-10 in government and aided schools and to children aged 6 months to 6 years in Anganwadi centers. Each child receives 150 ml of milk five days a week. The scheme is implemented with the Karnataka Milk Federation to reduce malnutrition among children and promote healthy growth.
