Notes: Kashmiri embroidery is also known as Kashida. Using the medium of bead and threadwork, Kashida is used for phirans (woolen kurtas) and namdahs (woolen rugs)as well as stoles. It draws inspiration from nature. Birds, blossoms and flowers, creepers, chinar leaves, mangoes, lotus, and trees are the most common themes.
