Jharkhand’s ARYA (Attracting & Retaining Youth in Agriculture) scheme selects two youths from each village. The scheme is implemented through the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) to train youths in cultivating barren lands and promoting self-reliant agriculture. It was launched during Chief Minister Raghubar Das’s tenure. The scheme is separate from the national ICAR-ARYA program and focuses on rural youth skill development in Jharkhand. There have been no official changes in selection numbers as of 2024.
