Notes: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared Hansi as the 23rd district of Haryana. Hansi town is located 26 km east of Hisar on National Highway 9. In 2017, the then Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had made Hansi a police district with six police stations. Earlier, in 2016, Haryana had proposed carving Hansi out of Hisar district, leading to the creation of Police District Hansi on 19 April 2017. With Hansi becoming a district, Hisar district will have two sub-divisions (Hisar and Barwala), while Hansi district will have Hansi and Narnaund sub-divisions.
