Q. Which of the following is / are the landforms found on moon?
  1. Mountains
  2. Valleys
  3. Maria
Select the correct option from the codes given below:

Answer: 1, 2 & 3
Notes: A Satellite is a celestial body that moves around the planets in the same way as the planets move around the sun. The moon moves around the earth in about 27 days. It takes exactly the same time to complete one spin. As a result, only one side of the moon is visible to us on the earth. The moon does not have conditions favourable for life. It has mountains, plains and depressions on its surface. These cast shadows on the moon's surface. Note: The lunar maria (singular: mare) are large, dark, basaltic plains on Earth's Moon, formed by ancient asteroid impacts on the far side on the Moon that triggered volcanic activity on the opposite (near) side.
