Malavikagnimitram is a Sanskrit play by Kalidas. The play tells the story of the love of Agnimitra, the Shunga Emperor at Vidisha for the beautiful hand-maiden of his chief queen. Ashtadhyayi was a Sanskrit treatise on grammar written in the 6th to 5th century by Panini. Kathasaritasagara is a famous 11th-century collection of Indian legends, fairy tales and folk tales compiled by a Kashmiri Saivite Brahmin called Somadeva in A.D 1070.
