It is believed to have been done since the first century. The men sit with their heads on the ground, opening and closing in a rhythmic rhythm the long pair of horizontal and cross bamboos. The girls wear multi-coloured Mizo costumes of 'Poonchi', 'Kavach'. 'Wakiriya' and 'Thihna' dance in and out between bamboo beats. This dance is performed in almost all the celebrations.
