No Ghettos Law

‘No Ghettos’ Law is a controversial legislation passed by the Danish government in 2018. It caps the number of ‘non-westerners’ at 50% in areas with more than 1,000 people and whose residents meet 2 out of the 4 criteria of education, income, unemployment rate and crime rate. Denmark is now looking to remove the term ‘ghetto’ from the law and to reduce ‘non-westerners’ share in social housing to 30% in 10 years.
