Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship programme

IIM Bangalore to launch a two year Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship Programme under an agreement signed with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It has been designed under SANKALP (Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion) and will deal with the problem of lack of trained professionals for policy implementation. This programme aims to train young people and district administration officials. The programme will have two components, Academic module and District Immersion. In classroom the fellows will get to know about the theoretical aspects of policy management and in District Immersion, trainee fellows will be accompanied by experts to identify the ground challenges in policy implementation. In 75 districts of Gujarat, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand the programme will be launched on pilot basis
