This integration holds tremendous benefits, especially for the defense retiree community, numbering over 23 lakhs. The integration ensures “Ease of Living” for defense pensioners, enabling them to instantly access the latest copy of their DigiLocker Pension Payment Order (PPO).

Efficiency Unleashed

The integration of EPFO with DigiLocker brings forth a range of advantages. With a permanent record of the PPO maintained in DigiLocker, the cumbersome delays associated with receiving physical copies are eliminated. New retirees are no longer required to wait for their PPO, and the need to provide physical copies is rendered obsolete. The initiative embodies the government’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance the lives of citizens.

Enabling Global Access

The Pension Controller Development Account (PCDA), Allahabad, has embraced the role of a service provider, registering to provide EPPO for over 23 lakhs of defense pensioners through the DigiLocker platform. This strategic move allows defense retirees to access their EPPO documents from any corner of the world. The ability to retrieve crucial documents remotely further underscores the convenience and efficiency that DigiLocker brings to the table.
