A68a Current Affairs, GK & News

A68a is the world’s largest iceberg that broke away from the Larcen C ice shelf in 2017. When it initially got separated from Antarctica, it measured 5,800 square kilometres, almost three times the size of Delhi. This Antarctic ice suffered a major crack recently, leading to the separation of a new smaller ice berg called A68g. The splitting up and melting of ice sheets pose significant threats of sea level rise and marine ecosystem damages.
