PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Yojana

During the 2021-22 Union Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the Rs.64,180 crore PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Yojana. The scheme seeks to enhance the primary, secondary and tertiary health systems’ capacity, strengthen existing institutions and create new institutions for detecting and curing novel diseases. This scheme is in addition to the National Health Mission. The outlay is to be used for supporting the rural and urban wellness centres, setting up integrated public health systems etc.
