Archana Ramasundram
The senior IPS officer Archana Ramasundram has been appointed Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), that guards India’s frontiers with Nepal and Bhutan. With this, she became the first woman to head a paramilitary force. At present, she is the special director of National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). Besides her, IPS officer K Durga Prasad has been appointed Director Generals of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and IPS officer K K Sharma will be new Chief of the Border Security Force (BSF).
