The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) has recently launched an online payment system for licensing and registration of Food Business Operators (FBOs). Applicants can now make payments through credit and debit card and net banking, which will eliminate delay in collection of fees and simplify processes for applicants. Beside this, the Delhi Government has also introduced a credit note system in dealings between the food safety officers and the FBOs, which used to be in cash. In the new practice no cash dealings will be done. Such measures will ensure transparency and also check corruption.
