In the 2-day event, various training programs, exhibitions, seminars will talk place and the Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will also give awards to 22 progressive farmers on this occassion. On 28th January 1894, 140 innocent farmers were massacred and 150 others injured, when they rose in protest against the oppressive increase in land revenue by the then colonial British rulers.
