Investing in teenage girls
The United Nations World Population Day is observed every year on July 11 to focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issue. The 2016 theme is “Investing in Teenage Girls” that calls for action to address the vast challenges faced by teenage girls across the world. As per the theme, if a teenage girl has the power, the means and the information to make her own decisions in life, she is more likely to overcome obstacles that stand between her and a healthy, productive future. This will benefit her, her family and her community.
