India has been ranked 133rd out of 180 countries listed in the 2016 World Press Freedom Index (WPFI), released by NGO Reporters Without Borders (RSF). The list is topped by Finland followed by Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and New Zealand. Among India’s neighboring countries, Bhutan has ranked 94, Nepal (105), Afghanistan (120), Sri Lanka (141), Bangladesh (144), Pakistan (147) and China (176).
