The first elite men’s senior national boxing tournament has started at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai, Guwahati. The Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal has inaugurated the tournament.The elite boxing championship would immensely help the upcoming boxers of the state and motivate the young generation to take up boxing as a career. Around 350 players have participated and would be competing in 10 weight categories. The sporting tournament will conclude on December 13,2016.
