The 7th session of Conference of Parties (COP7) on tobacco control has started at India Exposition Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh from November 7, 2016. The 6-day conference will provide an opportunity to learn from other countries and showcase the steps taken by India to check tobacco consumption. About 1500 delegates from 180 countries along with other observers in official relations with the WHO FCTC Secretariat, Geneva are expected to participate in the conference. This is first time that India is hosting the crucial global tobacco control conference.
