The Government of India (GoI) will contribute $500,000 to United Nations’ Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) for the year 2016-17. The CERF is a humanitarian fund to promote early and coordinated action and response to save lives, to increase response to time-crucial requirements based on demonstrable needs and to strength the core elements of humanitarian response in under-funded crises.
