Nalanda. He was the last ruler of the Kashmir Valley. He ruled Kashmir from 1579 to 1586. He was one of the last native rulers of Independent Kashmir. He was imprisoned by the Mughal emperor Akbar and later exiled to Bihar.
He was given land in the Islampur block of Nalanda district and permitted to maintain a cavalry of 500 soldiers. The place where he settled was known as Kashmir Chak. He died in 1592 in Odisha and buried in Biswak, which is adjacent to Kashmir Chak.
