Q. Who wrote Kadambari?
Answer:
Banabhatta
Notes: Kadambari was written by the 7th-century Sanskrit poet and scholar Banabhatta (Bānabhatta), who was the court poet of King Harshavardhana. It is considered one of the world's earliest novels. Banabhatta died before finishing the work; it was completed by his son, Bhushanabhatta. It consists of two parts: the Purvabhaga (earlier part) by Banabhatta and the Uttarabhaga (latter part) by Bhushanabhatta. It is a romantic, complex prose narrative exploring themes of love and reincarnation. Banabhatta is also famous for writing the Harshacharita, a biography of King Harsha.
