Uzbek star Javokhir Sindarov was crowned 2025 FIDE Chess World Cup Champion, becoming the youngest FIDE World Cup Champion. The tournament in Goa started on 1 November 2025 with 206 players and ended with Sindarov vs Chinese Number 1 Wei Yi. After two classical draws, the final went into tiebreaks, showcasing their rapid and blitz skills. Andrey Esipenko secured third place and qualification to the FIDE Candidates Tournament with a 2–0 victory over Nodirbek Yakubboev.
