Notes: Vallabhaacharya was a devotional philosopher, scholar and preacher, who founded the Pushti sect in India. He was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna, belong to Telugu Brahmin family and was born in 1479 AD in the holy city of Banaras. He wrote many commentaries on the Bhagavata Purana that describes the many lilas (pastimes) of the Avatar, Krishna.
