Nanyadeva first arrived in Mithila region in 1093 AD and took the title of "Mahashamantadipati". This title linked his roots to Chalukyas of South.
Some Important points about Karnat dynasty:
1. It was established in 1097 AD by Nanya Deva.
2. It had two capitals, one at Simraungarh in Bara district of Nepal and other at Darbhanga, Bihar.
3. Nanya Deva established his supremacy over Mithila region with the help of Chalukyas of South.
4. Hari Simha Deva was the sixth and the last descendant of Nanya Deva. Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq of Delhi Sultanate invaded Mithila region during Hari Deva's reign.
