Notes: Nuhanis or Lohanis were descendants of Isu Khan. In 1495, Darya Khan Nuhani, son of Mubarak Khan Nuhani was appointed as the governor of Bihar by Sikander Lodi. His son Bahar Khan Nuhani declared himself as an independent ruler by adopting the title of Sultan Mohammad during the reign of Ibrahim Lodi. The Nuhanis continued to retain their hold over Bihar during Babur's reign also.
