Singaravelu Chettiar
Singaravelu Chettiar, a founding member of India's communist movement, was released from the 1924 Kanpur Bolshevik Conspiracy Case because of illness. S.V. Ghate, Muzaffar Ahmad, and Shaukat Usmani received imprisonment sentences, while Chettiar was the only main accused released on health grounds.
