Notes: Bhaskarvarman was conferred the title ‘Kumara Raja’ in ancient Kamarupa. He ruled during the 7th century CE. Hiuen-Tsang was a Chinese traveler who documented Kamarupa but was not a ruler. Madan Kamdev refers to a temple complex built later. Bhagadutta was a character mentioned in the Mahabharata, unrelated to this title.
