Notes: Father Kamil Bulke, a Belgian Jesuit priest, translated the Bible into Hindi. He arrived in India in 1935 and worked on Hindi translations after Ramkatha research. He published the New Testament (Naya Vidhan) in 1977 and completed the full Bible by 1986 after his death in 1982. He taught at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Father Kamil Bulke received the Padma Bhushan award for his contributions to Hindi literature.
