Narayan Ganesh Chandavarkar
Narayan Ganesh Chandavarkar succeeded Mahadev Govind Ranade as leader of the Prarthana Samaj. He was a pioneer of Hindu social reforms in Mumbai, a judge at Bombay High Court, and Congress president in 1900. The Samaj promoted monotheism and social reforms inspired by Brahmo Samaj.
