Notes: Section 25(1)(a) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 states that the DDMA is headed by the Collector, District Magistrate, or Deputy Commissioner as ex-officio Chairperson. These titles are often used interchangeably depending on the state. In Jharkhand, for example, the Deputy Commissioner acts as the Chairperson of the DDMA.
