Notes: Rajeev Krishna has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh. He became the first permanent police chief of Uttar Pradesh since 2022. Rajeev Krishna is a 1991-batch IPS officer and had been serving as the acting DGP since May 2025 after succeeding Prashant Kumar. He is also serving as the Director General of the Vigilance Establishment. The last regular DGP of Uttar Pradesh was Mukul Goel, who was removed from the post in 2022. Since 2022, Uttar Pradesh had four acting police chiefs before this appointment.
