Notes: Kavnai Fort in Nashik, Maharashtra, was ceded to the Peshwas by the Nizam of Hyderabad after the Battle of Udgir in 1760. Built by the Mughals, it was later taken by the British along with other nearby forts under Colonel Briggs.
