Q. Who are the beneficiaries of the ‘KCR Kit Scheme’ of Telangana?
Answer: Pregnant women
Notes: The state government launched ‘KCR Kit Scheme’ for pregnant women, to provide all necessary items for pregnant women and the new-born baby. The pregnant women will be provided with financial assistance of Rs. 12,000 in three phases. In case of a baby girl, an additional Rs. 1000 will be given. Recently, KCR Kit is extended to lactating mothers. After the implementation of the scheme, institutional deliveries increased by 22% in the State.
