Amir Khusro, a Sufi musician and poet, known as Tuti-e-Hind, wrote in Persian and Hindavi. He invented the sitar and tabla, contributed to khayal and tarana, and served Delhi Sultans. His works include "Khamsa-e-Khusro" and "Tughlaq Nama." He is the father of qawwali.
