Notes: In order to control the Deccan region more effectively and establish a capital that geographical be closer to the central of his kingdom, Muhammad bin Tughlaq shifted his capital from Delhi to Devagiri in 1327 AD and renamed it as Daulatabad. But, he failed in his attempts and shifted back to Delhi.
