Lala Hardayal was a revolutionary and a scholar who dedicated himself to the cause of Indian Freedom. He was the General Secretary of the Gadar party, an organisation founded by Punjabi-Sikhs in the United States and Canada with the aim of securing India's independence from British rule. Lal Hardayal was considered as the ‘brain’ behind the Gadar movement.
