Ahom Rebellion (1828): The British East India Company annexed Assam after the treaty of Yandaboo that triggered the revolt
against them. Then, freedom loving people under the leadership of Gomdhar Konwar (a prince of the Ahom royal family) revolted against the British. The Ahoms fought braverly but they lost the battle. Though, they again revolted for their freedom in 1830 AD, but its all in vain.
