Notes: Paonta Sahib, in Himachal Pradesh, was founded by Guru Gobind Singh in 1685. He stayed there for over four years, wrote important Sikh scriptures, and the town also marks the birthplace of his son, Sahibzada Ajit Singh. The Gurudwara there hosts relics of Guru Gobind Singh.
