The Santhal Rebellion occurred in 1855-56 in the Damin-i-Koh region of Jharkhand. It was led by Sidhu, Kanhu, Chand, and Bhairav against British officers, zamindars, and dikus. Santhals declared independence, refused rent, and used the slogan "Do or Die, British leave our Soil." British forces suppressed the rebellion, executing leaders like Sidhu and Kanhu in Barhet, Sahibganj. This slogan is not associated with the Munda, Bhumij, or Kharwar rebellions.
